Cheese Plate..
Ok, so they've got this cheese plate wine paring for like 10 smackolas. Total. Yeah, I know.
The good - Not a half bad selection of cheese. Some seriously aged blue cheese, a very sharp cheddar and some others I couldn't identify. But def decent.. served with a chutney, good bread and some fruit.
The bad - The wine was some cheapo Aussie vino that tasted like Kangaroo urine. Sweet Kangaroo urine. Not sure if there is an upgrade available but def ask (and pay) for a better wine or else it'll wreck your paring.

Lola Tapas & Wine Bar
HOBOKEN, NJ
Start with the high points..
Service was excellent if not a little overwhelming. My glass of sangria was never more than half empty, waitress took time to describe a few meals.
The decor is ok, if not a little on the cheesy side. I felt a little like I was in a Spanish TGIFridays.
The food was only average. Everything was well prepared and arrived in timely fashion. Apparently the "volcano" dishes are what everyone goes for. All-in-all it's a nice break from usual burger and fries in town, but as far as Tapas (and Spanish Cuisine) it wasn't the best I've had.

Cascata
NEW YORK, NY
This place is a gem
It's not fancy or particularly memorable but the service is always great, and the food is simply well prepared, very tasty and reasonably priced. I've eaten here about a half a dozen times. Brunch is hard to beat (although the selection is light) and the outdoor seating is quaint and cozy in nice weather. It's also clean and looks like it's a well taken care of place (unlike a lot of little italian joints in the neighborhood).

Nice bar, good food
Been here twice as it is literally stumbling distance from the front door of my building. Service has been top notch both times. Food has been tasty and well prepared. All in all a very good spot and welcome addition to the uptown scene.

Napoli's
HOBOKEN, NJ
Damn tasty pie..
Ok.. used to live downtown, naturally Grimaldi's was the "go-to" high quality pie and frankly hard to beat. I just moved uptown (way uptown) and needed a quick alternative for a good "pick-up" pie. Napoli's totally delivered. Ordered a pie with pepperoni, red peppers and black olives. It was FANTASTIC. The olives were real clamata olives, not the kind you get outta of a can from the grocery store. Crispy crust, fresh basil. They actually give Grimaldi's a run for their money. Oh.. and it was actually a little cheaper.. check it out.

Nice little spot!
I've been here twice with a friend (who happens to know the owners). Their paella is fantastic and fresh. The sangria is pretty tasty too. Not the nicest decor or even location but great out of the way spot.

Three A's Bar & Grill
HOBOKEN, NJ
Great spot for football..
The dinning room and service are always pretty good but hanging at the bar with some quality food, a brew and the 4 HD flat screens on any given sunday is hard to beat. Menu is pretty diverse.. only a few bar favorites (wings, burgers & bar pies) but they are done very well. Most of their specials are great.

Just had the burger
Have to say it was pretty tasty in an untraditional kinda way. It's a loose ground meet with lots of seasoning. It really didnt' even need ketchup to add flavor. I ordered BBQ sauce though and it wasn't in my bag.. woulda been better with sauce.

Wild Fusion Asian Cuisine & Sushi Bar
JERSEY CITY, NJ
Delivers to Hoboken
This place has fantastic food and delivery (to Hoboken) was fast and fresh. They don't kid around when it comes to spice either. Dishes highlighted as spicy didn't disappoint and I didn't have to add any chili oil to bump up the kick. Impressive as so many places wimp out. It's thai food people.. it's suppose to make your face sweat!!

City Bistro

Roof top deck makes this place
I've eaten here only once or twice and the food was very good. Went with a large group and they were very accomodating and served us effienctly even though the place was packed. But what really makes this place is the roof top bar. Unfortuately there are new big condos blocking the city but you can still catch the empire state building in the background with a cocktail in your hand on a warm summer evening.. NICE!

Great selection.. good prices
The selection here is great. Cold bar has salads and pastas with new items everyday. Hot bar has some AWESOME mac & cheese and seasonal favorites. For me, it's usually the deli counter for a sandwich. So far the best priced sandwiches (usually a buck less than other places around). Fast service and some seating upstairs..

No credit cards
Major hassle.. they really should really step into the 21st century. Other than that, the food is great and inexpensive. They just renovated the place and it looks great.. new windowed area in the front. Looks like a great spot to hit on a cold evening.

Odd little spot..
It's chinese mexican food. Even the menu looks like a chinese restaurant. I ate here once when they opened but have yet to be back. Food was ok. I think I got delivery which was quick.

Not bad
This is a brand new spot.. my girlfriend and I were seated in a nice little spot in the back. The food is pretty good although the cheese is really the only thing worth getting. We both ordered entrees and it was WAY to much food. Our seating got really hot since it was kinda closed in.. so you're better off sitting out the main area.

Nice mix of cuisine
I'll agree with agpeavey that their sushi isn't the prettiest presentation I've seen, but it is usually fresh and tasty. The vietnamese dishes are great and their standard chinese dishes are prepared really well (not oily or greasy like a lot of places in hoboken).
