Tasting notes: dark chocolate- coffee blossom - caramel finish "keeping it classy" is our version of what we want an all around delicious espresso to be. Alone it has notes of dark chocolate a viscous body and a lingering finish but there is nice acidity and complexity to shine through milk. The coffees for kic espresso are always current crop and are sourced with these ideals in mind.
Tasting notes: mixed berry - wildflower - pie crust francisca and oscar chacon, owners and operators of the las lajas micro mill are third-generation coffee producers and are know for being the pioneers of producing high quality honey processed coffees in Costa Rica. This particular lot is a yellow honey process. In the processing method they remove the fruit and leave 100% of the mucilage left on, this coffee is then slowly dried, being turned hourly on the bed. In the past we have served these coffees and are excited to once again bring the fruit of the chacon's labor to SD. Tasting notes: caramel - sweet lemon - cocoa the "morning dove blend" is what we think an easy drinking coffee should be. The body has crisp flavors of sweet lemon and caramel that shine brightly. Perfect for your morning cup or as an afternoon pick me up. This season we traveled to huila, Colombia to meet farmer, rodrigo sanchez valencia and his family who are producing beautiful colombian varietals on one of their farms, finca el progreso. This blend is a representation of the binging of what we hope to be a long-lasting relationship with the sanchez valencia family.

Tasting notes: cherry - dark chocolate - maple this past november we took a trip down to Colombia with the intentions of finding great coffees and to build relationships with even better people. While we were there we tried over 100 different coffees from all different regions and brought back our favorites. This particular coffee comes from the cauca region and is produced by asprofech, an association of over 60 families, whose focus is to increase the production of specialty coffee and create transparency all along the supply chain. Ensuring fair prices that help in creating better living conditions and grants access to education. This coffee is a delicious representation of the collaborations being done in the region.

Tasting notes: nectarine - plum - dark chocolate last year we traveled to the mountains of huehuetenango, Guatemala, and had the opportunity to meet with farmer, francisco morales. In the hopes of building relationships with producers, who are pushing the boundaries of what we consider exceptional coffees, francisco's commitment to learning and sharing stories was the determining factor for a continued relationship. This years crop proves that his curiosity can lead to higher quality. This coffee was dried under shaded nets, to improve the gradual process of drying, with the aim to enhance flavor and prolong shelf life. The result of meticulous attention to detail is this incredible cup. Enjoy!

Tasting notes: strawberry - grape candy - milk chocolate the last two years we have offered sweet and vibrant coffees from Zambia. The response was overwhelmingly positive so we tried this year's crop and again. The kateshi and isanya estates have produced this incredibly sweet and clean natural processed coffee. This unique lot is of an unknown variety known as "miracle" as it was one of the only trees to survive after being relocated form its native land of Indonesia. This coffee is the perfect representation of what a well processed natural coffee should taste like; sweet, with a juicy body and distinctive flavors of grape candy and strawberries.
Tasting notes: peaches 'n cream - vanilla - cedar this coffee was grown in the sierra mountains, in the puebla region of Mexico. After being carefully selected, swiss water decaffeinated this coffee. What makes their processes exceptional and in turn makes this coffee so delicious, is that it's free of added chemicals, only using the cleanest water. Through diffusion, it removes the caffeine without removing the flavor of the coffee. This process results in a clean and vibrant cup which maintains the full flavor of the coffee.
Tasting notes: blueberry - butterscotch - chocolate liquor we created the sweet blue blend to be used for our cold brew and while we love it brewed kyoto style, it also makes an incredible cup of filter coffee. The Guatemala gives it a sweet and buttery, chocolate quality and the natural processed Zambia provides a beautiful fruity pop that further accentuates the sweetness of this blend.
