a very pale straw-yellow in color with green flecks. notes of lemon, grapefruit, gooseberry and sweet geranium on the nose. generous and balanced in the mouth with grassy notes and a mineral backbone. pleasantly tart, clean finish.
this is marlborough pinot noir, but with all the attributes of exceptionally well made burgundy pinot noir. aged in french oak barrels. it has lovely aromas of cranberries and red cherries with hints of tar. wonderfully balanced, and supple and offers a tasty, elegant, even earthy finish.
