Since Britain ruled India at the same time, the Indians followed the British to Hong Kong. Under the co-ordination of the British, many Indians work in the police force in Hong Kong. The Indians therefore live in Hong Kong, bring Indian curry spices and cooking methods to Hong Kong, and open spice shops in Hong Kong to facilitate their curry food. As Indians settled in Hong Kong, curry food soon became popular in Hong Kong and enriched Hong Kong's food culture. Curry dishes are available in almost every Hong Kong tea restaurant.
