Still wild harvested, they are also farm rasied in some areas.
Traditionally this wild oysters was harvested in long island sound, ct, but the harvest area has been stretched from martha's vineyard, ma, all the way to chesapeake bay, va typically 3-4" in size, they are meaty with a mild salinity.
