belgian strong ale st. louis, mo. this collaboration between two of our favorite midwest breweries is a sour mash belgian dark ale brewed with black currants. mild, clean sourness on the back palate balances the relatively high abv and dark fruit tones to keep the beer quaffable. very unique and surprisingly refreshing
india pale ale san francisco, ca. well-balanced west coast ipa with a hop profile that veers toward floral, citric, and earthy. sticky mouthfeel with an abundance of grapefruit peel and pith, lemon curd, and fresh spring flowers. the subdued malt profile suggests crackers and honey. big green floral hop notes on the finish.
double ipa copenhagen, denmark. collaborative brews are no new news over at mikkeller, but this was special pairing; a combined work with the crooked moon tattoo studio from sweden to commemorate their first birthday. this dynamically hoppy dipa is aromatic and powerful. look for grapefruit pith, tropical fruits, peach, honied biscuits, and pine all complimented by a slick mouthfeel.
imperial stout brooklyn/copenhagen denmark. profoundly evil, this is one half of evil twin's black and tan offering, yin and yang which was produced by brewdog of scotland. smokey, charred wood, cocoa nib, espresso, and burnt toast make this commanding imperial stout linger.
malt liquor louisville, ky. the most metal beer ever. notes of rye, apple, white grape, and frosted flakes. if you're a bad mother#*%ker, this beer is for you.
american adjunct lager milwaukee, wi. brewed under the schlitz name since 1858, this pale lager was the best selling beer in the world through much of the 20th century. tallboy
american pale ale lyons, co. american pale ale...............................lyons, co loaded with grapefruit, tangerine and sticky pine resin on both the nose and palate. fairly massive for a pale ale, this one drinks more like an ipa.
vienna lager brooklyn, ny. an exemplary amber lager: perfect balance between biscuity malts and earthy, floral hops. mild baking spice notes and hints of orange zest combine with caramel and herbal grassiness. based on a pre-prohibition recipe.
herb/spice copenhagen, denmark. ale brewed with spices, almond milk, black beans, avocado leaves and chilies (pasilla, mulato, cascabel, arbol and guajillo). heavy roasted notes give way to milk chocolate, coconut and vegetality. subtle chili heat builds on the finish. one of the most bizarre and inexplicably delicious beers ever brewed.
imperial stout montreal, canada. an imperial coffee stout from one of the world's most outstanding small breweries. this beer packs massive amounts of coffee, dark chocolate, fudge, and vanilla into the flavor profile. brewed with fair trade coffee.
lambic - geuze beersel, belgium. the golden blend is made with 25% four year old lambic and a "secret" combination of 1, 2, and 3 year old lambic. due to evaporation in the barrel, only a small percentage of the lambic is left over after 4 years of maturing. what is left has a profound and intensely concentrated flavor profile.
belgian style brown ale chicago, il. crimson colored, fermented with wild yeast and aged on cherries in wine barrels. layers of malty complexity, sour cherry, spice and wood notes make madame rose an ideal beer to suggest to bordeaux enthusiasts and beer drinkers fond of belgian kriek and flanders brown ales..

wild ale placentia, california. a sour rye ale aged in red wine barrels, this fascinating beer is loaded with flavor. bright notes of lemon, sour cherry, lemongrass and white grape dance gracefully with dark tree fruit, vanilla and rye spice. an elegant, beautiful beer for barrel-aged sour fans.
muscadet de sevre-et-maine 100% melon de bourgogne loire valley, france. this is muscadet; hand-harvested grapes from their original stock of 40 year old vines and a cleansing mineral sensation that can be felt as much as tasted. anticipate sea salt and grapefruit zest, with delicate herbs and effervescence. organically farmed.
100% chardonnay alto adige, italy. in 1893, cantina andriano became alto adige's first wine cooperative. erosion of mount gantkofel contributes to the fertile, calcareous clay soil and early morning sun exposure which impart a depth of tropical fruit and delicate nuttiness. .
grenache, cinsault, mourvedre central ca. from italian, birichino translates to naughty or mischievous, exactly like winemakers alex krause and john lock. utilizing vines from several places, some over 120 years old, they have developed wine inspired by provençal rosé; perfume and poise. look for orchard fruit, rosehip, and wild herbs.
100% schiava alto adige, italy. architect turned wine producer, elena married into one of the most established wine families in tramin. after taking over some of the region's most magnificent estates, she established one of her own. plush, with concentrated cherry, cranberry, and freshly planted violets. sustainably farmed.
100% agiorghitiko nemea, greece. though the vines cultivated for this st. george are about 24 years old, archaeologists predict that wine has been produced in the peloponnese for 35 centuries. rich damson plum, ripened raspberry, and luscious blackberry are complimented by warm baking spices and black pepper.
chardonnay, pinot new mexico. the gruet family discovered that new mexico is an oddly ideal substitue for champagne. with a delightfully fine mousse, notes tart apples and a subtle nutty finish, this sparkling is a welcomed surprise.
