Giant Pacific Octopus is wild caught in the cold Pacific waters out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska. They live in the north Pacific Ocean, along the continental shelf. Ekone Octopus is highly versatile, it is delicious right out of the can, but it is also an amazing addition to a salad or pasta. One of our favorite ways to enjoy it is in a fresh ceviche.

Grown on our farms in Willapa Bay, located on the coast of Washington State, they are grown using the long-line method to promote the highest quality oyster, and ensure they are always free of sand and grit. They are harvested fresh then brought to our Ekone cannery in Bay Center, WA, where the oysters are steamed and opened, then brined in small batches. The brined oysters are then placed meticulously on stainless steel racks and smoked using maple chips. We added a subtle lemon pepper spice blend to the original flavor.

We love eating chickpeas in hearty, flavorful stews with chorizo, as well as tossed into a salad. These legumes are cooked without any added preservatives or additives, just water, and salt from the Pyrenees springs of Salinas de Oro (Navarre).
The Carnaroli rice, a premium quality rice, is the king of the Italian rice, perfect for exquisite rice dishes. Prepared with the addition of black truffle is particularly suitable for delicious risottos. Cooking recommendations: Prepare a mixture of minced onions and herbs; sauté it in olive oil in a saucepan until it is slightly brown, then stir in the Carnaroli rice with porcini mushrooms and sauté briskly. Add some broth little by little and leave to cook for about 20 minutes until the rice is “al dente”. Take off the fire and let the risotto sit covered for a couple of minutes, then serve. Ingredients: Carnaroli rice 98%, summer truffle (Tuber aestivum Vitt) 0.5%, onion, laurel, parsley.

One of our very popular items is these farm fresh eggs. Kilgus Golden Buff chickens lay large brown eggs with nice rich yolks. The hens are not fed any antibiotics, hormones or animal by products and are raised in a completely cage free environment. These healthy eggs are packaged on their own farm before being distributed directly to us. It is very common for our customers to receive eggs that are only a few days rather than several weeks old compared to most commercial eggs.
