This Speyside malt has been aged 12 years in a hoghead. Unchill-filtered and bottled at 92 proof. A rich and deep flavour, alive with sweet ginger, pear and rose water. Aromatic fruit and light oak create gentle spice, which balances nicely against an undercurrent of creamy vanilla.
This very rare item from Glenlivet has been aged 14 years in a first fill sherry butt. Un-chillfiltered (more full bodied and full flavored). 125.2 proof

Speyside, Distilled 1994, bottled 2012, 16%. Matured in a Hogshead Cask. Non-chill filtered, no color added. Caperdonich distillery started its life in 1898 under the (relatively uninspiring) name 'Glen Grant #2'. Caperdonich distillery was founded by J. & J. Grant, the people that also built the 'original' Glen Grant distillery in 1840. Glen Grant Number Two remained inactive for six decades, but in the year 1965 it was rebuilt by Glenlivet Distilleries Ltd. who resumed production. The new owners also changed the name to Caperdonich ("Secret Well"). In 1977 Seagram from Canada acquired Caperdonich distillery - before selling it on to Pernod Ricard in 2001. Pernod Ricard closed the distillery one year later in 2002. Fragrant nose, of cut damp grass/ hay, lemon, tropical fruit, malt. Tase is very sweet and creamy. Vanilla custard, canned mixed fruit, sugary syrup. Finishes sweet and spicy. chili, paprika, orange zest.
Notes of hay and summer grass in the nose. Hint of sweetness. In the mouth, well done: round and mellow for his age. Caressing finale. Aged in hogshead. Cask Strength (53.5) bottle 209 of 247.
From the Ladyburn distillery. Ayrshire is the code name used by several NDPs for the Ladyburn distillery that was closed in 1975 by William Grant & Sons. WG&S does continue to put out rare releases of this wonderful old whisky (some bottles priced at $2000), but won't allow anyone but themselves to actually use the name Ladyburn. The nose starts with some funky, woody and fruity notes which develop into grassy malt, toasted nuts and a charred sweetness like burned marshmallows and some earthy undertones. A nice layer of honeyed sweetness moves through the palate, along with some wood and a nutty overtone. In the background are some darker earthier notes. The finish fades out wood and fruit heavy at a medium pace with some trailing notes of nuts and cumin.
Speyside, Distilled 1995, bottled 2012, 53.2%. Matured in Oak Casks. Non-chill filtered, no color added. Imperial was dogged by poor timing. Its chequered history meant that it never had a chance to become established as a single malt brand. Too late for the very earliest wave, by the time the category was becoming popular in the 1970s it was already committed to supplying fillings. When the single malt market came of age in the early 1990s, Imperial was closed. Nose of olive, burnt orange zest, oak, and vanilla notes. A creamy palate with fruit and toasted grain. Finishes creamy and bright with touches of ginger and baking spice 38/70

Sanaig, named after an inlet on Islay's rugged Atlantic coast, is a vatting of Kilchoman matured in both sherry and bourbon barrels.
