This is a type of fresh and milky cheese originating from southern Venezuela and made with pasteurized milk. Usually it is eaten as a filling for arepas, cachapas or empanadas. It is characterized by its soft texture, similar to the queso de mano but saltier and with a stronger flavor. When fresh is so delicate that it is almost spreadable. Its smooth but firm flavor is impossible to forget!
