Dark Hollow blends the miracle of two craftsbrewing and distillationto create a work greater than the sum of its parts. Located in the foothills overlooking the Shenandoah Valley, Cave Ridge Vineyard produces wines only from grapes grown at our vineyard under sustainable farming practices. The Rose is a semi-dry blend of Viognier, Traminette, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.

Melons and lemon peel on the nose, followed by bright, polished acidity carrying flavors of the same, as well as honeysuckle and grapefruit.
Extended aging on lees in stainless steel captures a generous concentration of subtropical aromas and flavors of inherent volume and aging potential, presenting a firm, ample and harmonious structure. Juicy and bright pear, passion fruit, and hints of citrus on a gently herbal frame.

With special care and attention to details, this wine shows that Virginia can make an elegant Chardonnay with a lot of character. Made with 50% new oak and a native fermentation that lasted six weeks, the result is a Chardonnay with unique character and a complexity of aromas that are held together with the richness of French oak. The "sur lies" aging gives the wine weight and complexity that integrates well with the acidity and fruit structure.
It features vibrant notes of green apple, pear, Meyer lemon and fine minerals laced with aromatic honeysuckle and orange blossom. Pineapple, guava and ripe nectarine flavors that linger with notes of honey and spice. The plush finish is creamy and rich.
Youth in a glass is what this is, spry and light on its feet and smelling of spring with lime blossom, white lilacs and just a hint of lychee. The palate shows a medium-dry style that opens with floral notes and a taste of Turkish delight and finishes with a minerality reminiscent of wet river stones.

Medium-bodied, fruity with a dry finish. Straw color with green highlights a nose of ripe tropical fruit, lime zest and stone fruit. The palate is concentrated with flavors of nectarines, apricot and citrus fruit. Juicy, spicy and herbal; the long full finish is balanced with vibrant acidity.
The aromatics are distinctly tropical, the initial sweet passion fruit then gives way to hints of lime, classic gooseberry, and dried herbs. But it is the palate where this wine embodies all that is Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Smooth and fruit driven, with a burst of energy from the firm lively acidity with a lingering mouth-watering finish.
This is classic Pouilly-Fumé with aromas of lemon, sandalwood, hay, white flowers, nectarine and a hint of ginger. Quite dry, but still smooth as glass with concentrated aroma replays on the palate. Lots of acidity here too for refreshment.

This is everything one hopes for when thinking about Sancerre: it is bright, lively, pleasantly aromatic, has zippy acidity but low astringency. Pale yellow. Fresh pear and orange on the nose. Pliant, refreshingly bitter citrus fruit flavors are firmed by tangy minerality and pick up a light herbal quality with air. Appealingly sweet on the finish, which repeats the orange and herb notes. It is a wonderful food wine that is as versatile as it is easy to drink.
A full bodied, delicately fragrant wine with floral notes, hints of pear, apple, and vanilla with clove and ginger spice. Guinness McFadden has been growing grapes organically for over 40 years. Blue Quail's wines are stainless steel fermented and held with zero malolactic fermentation.
Farming of the 13-acre estate vineyard on the eastern side of the Eola-Amity Hills ridge, an area already proven to have one of Oregon's best micro-climates for Burgundian and Alsatian varieties is entirely organic. This blend of 85% Pinot Gris and 14% Gewürztraminer has added hints of Kerner, Rieslaner, Pinot Blanc, and Traminer. Floral aromas and notes of wet stone contribute to this light citrus and mineral driven white with refreshing acidity.
If you've yet to try Pinot Gris from Oregon, this is a great place to start. Elk Cove is one of Oregon's oldest and most respected wineries. This luminous Pinot Grigio offers a beautifully perfumed bouquet as well as structure and staying power. An open, floral bouquet leads to ripe, round fruit as this gorgeous white caresses the palate all the way through to the harmonious, polished finish. A small percentage of the wine is aged in oak and this adds density and complexity.
Delicate yet flavorful, light golden in color with a complex, fruit-scented nose that reveals layers of mango, jasmine tea, cinnamon, and cantaloupe. Smooth, smoky toasted walnut and honey balance the fruits, and give way to a crisp, lingering finish full of freshly cut grass and peaches.
This Chardonnay exhibits ripe fruit aromas of banana, apple and pear, coupled with tropical fruits. Adding to the complexity, the oak aging is fairly integrated adding spice, like nutmeg, vanilla and fresh coconut with a slight butterscotch. This wine has great viscosity, depth and an intriguing minerality. The flavors on the palate are predominantly citrus, lemon-lime and peach.
Not to be confused with Pouilly-Fumé from the Loire Valley (made from Sauvignon Blanc), Pouilly- Fuissé is firmly Burgundian and made from 100% Chardonnay. This great example exhibits bright lemon acidity. On the palate a rounded creamy mouthfeel is detected, with integrated oak and wonderful balance. Pear and apple characters marry happily with a freshening citrus streak on the elegant finish.
With vibrant cool citrus aromas as well as notes of pear and green pineapple, this is a fresh and inviting expression of Chardonnay. On the palate, pear, citrus oil and lemon custard flavors are supported by sophisticated hints of white almond, clove, jasmine and wet stone. Gorgeous acidity adds to the fresh, elegant and age-worthy character of this Chardonnay.
This wine is very mineral in the nose, with a hint of candied pear and lemon peel. Although lean, the entry is defined by a suggestion of tropical fruits, including pineapple and kiwi. There is a delicate zing to the midpalate that is reminiscent of pineapple rind. The finish persists with the sweetness of warm climate fruit, green apple and pear notes.
This polished, refined Chardonnay does an excellent job of capturing a wide spectrum of varietal flavors in a style that combines elements of brightness and richness. Fruit forward and balanced, delivering scents of pear, apple, butterscotch and pineapple, laced with delicate floral notes of honeysuckle. The attack is layered with succulent stone fruit flavors and buttery, toasted pastry dough. The lively acidity, combined with a rich creaminess and almond toffee flavors, give this wine a long, pleasing finish.
This is a chardonnay of balanced depth and complexity with a crisp acidity. Medium bodied with aromas of white peach and lime citrus. Stone minerals and luscious melon equally contend for attention in this mouth filling and delicious wine, while the lean acidity refreshes the palate.
In broad strokes, there is beautiful freshness to this wine, with clearly delineated vineyard character. At the same time, the modest crop size in 2010 has contributed to amazing concentration, spotlighting notes of spiced tropical peach, pear, honeydew, clove and narcissus. The mid-palate is vibrant and bright, combining delicate, mouthwatering acidity with rich fruit, all surrounded by subtle, oak-inspired notes of cinnamon, spiced toffee and roasted almonds.
The Matrot family has owned vineyards in Meursault for three generations. Thierry Matrot has used every possible organic technique in the cultivation of his vines. As a result, the domain's wines have a purity, character and a genuine sense of terroir. A buttered toast nose, with a little bit of oak and some hazelnut-flavored fruit. Quite explosive for a village wine, quite floral with a good balance of racy acidity and meaty fruit, with a rum butter finish.
The 2007 Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes is fashioned from 30-year old Chardonnay vines planted along the Silverado Trail. Its attractive nectarine, orange marmalade, and white peach-scented bouquet is followed by a full-bodied white exhibiting crisp acidity, good underlying minerality, and a subtle touch of oak.

The Chateau Gaillard vineyard is cultivated according to biodynamic agriculture's methods in order to protect the ancestral wine quality of this vineyard. The grapes are carefully hand-picked in small baskets, a blend of Chenin (60%) and Chardonnay (40%) for a better balance and richness. Slightly blush in color with notes of honey and crab apple. Round and fruity on the palate with small and persistent bubbles, it has a long aftertaste.
Since 1984, Cameron Winery has fanatically produced sustainably farmed, non-irrigated pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot bianco from the Red Hills of Dundee, Oregon. The 2011 has a racy acidity of fresh lime, citrus peel, and a clean, pure finish. This year's Giovanni, normally 100% Pinot blanc, has been blended with 20% Pinot Grigio. The addition of a little pinot grigio gives the pinot blanc more weight to the wine, but fear not, it is still very refreshing.

De Tradisie is an elegant, barrel-fermented 100% Chenin Blanc, made in a dry, refreshing style. Complex nose of pineapple, rose petals and orange blossoms. The tropical, citrus flavors follow through on the palate, with oranges leading grapefruit, quince and cinnamon onto a rich but refreshing palate. It is a well-balanced wine with great integration of oak and a lovely long and crisp finish.
Robusto is a bold, barrel-fermented Chenin Blanc, made in a richer, full-bodied style. From the first release in 2000 the Robusto has set the pace for serious Chenin Blanc in South Africa. Quince and grapefruit bouquet, with fresh fruit salad and pineapple on the nose and it follows through on the palate. Good crisp acidity balances the sweet fruit flavors. A taut yet big wine with structure, texture and length will reward aging.
The Bretons first introduced biodynamic practices into their viticulture in 1994, just after receiving their organic certification in 1991. 100% Chenin Blanc from a plot of 50-year old vines, vinified in stainless steel tanks. A distinctively gorgeous wine. Pear, persian melon and pineapple dominate the nose and a silk textured, luscious palate with subtle chalk inflections in its lingering finish.
Founded in 1981, Roederer Estate is nestled in Mendocino County's cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley. As the California outpost of Champagne Louis Roederer, Roederer Estate builds upon a centuries-old tradition of fine winemaking. Complex minerality runs through this sparkler, tinged with sweet vanilla and strawberry flavors, but not overtly fruity. With light richness and firm acidity.
This Brut Rose is made via Méthode Champenoise with estate grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The grapes were picked at night by hand and gently pressed to ensure that this wine retains all of its best qualities. After a combination of stainless steel and French oak barrel aging, the wine gains complexity by aging on the yeast lees in the bottle for 22 months. A beautiful salmon hue, the nose of this Brut is of rose petals, blackberry, and light toast. The crisp acidity and minerality are balanced well with the notes of red fruits that are brought by the Pinot Noir in the blend.
Medium-bodied, dry. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this NV Brut has a lovely straw-yellow appearance and a lively fine mousse in the glass. Slightly floral on the nose with a full flavored, floral and fruity palate. This finish is fresh, aromatic and structured.
A rich Champagne, beautifully elegant, touched by yellow fruits, apples and just the right amount of weight. There are final hints of toast, spice and creamy coconut milk, giving a Champagne that is as much about wine as about bubbles.

Made in a traditional old world style, this is a heavily extracted wine designed to highlight the aging potential of Cabernet Franc. Rich dark fruit aromas and a hint of spice. The tannin extraction is evident, but does not overwhelm the wine. The concentration of fruit, balanced by oak provides for a lengthy finish.

This Right Bank styled blend (77.1% Merlot) pays homage to the strength of Atalon's matriarch. Dark ruby in color and aromatic notes of dark cherry, plum, currant, integrated oak, spice, toast, tobacco and underlined by a fine trace of minerality, a nod to the majestic geology of Napa Valley and to Pauline's enduring spirit.

Orin Swift Cellars owner/winemaker Dave Phinney has gained access to some of the best Zinfandel vineyards in the Northern California growing community.
