Dark Hollow blends the miracle of two craftsbrewing and distillationto create a work greater than the sum of its parts. An Imperial Stout has been aged in charred American oak bourbon barrels still dripping with uncut whiskey. For 100 days the young beer patiently breathes in and out of the wood, gaining complexity, character, and serious attitude. Can be enjoyed immediately, or five years later, when you dust off the last vintage bottle from your cellar to share with good company. Available as long as each batch lasts, November-April.

Our traditional cider, made from a blend of Virginia's finest heirloom apples including Pippin, Winesap, and Stayman. Just shy of dry with a kiss of spicy citrus, this cider is crisp and palate cleansing. Located in the foothills overlooking the Shenandoah Valley, Cave Ridge Vineyard produces wines only from grapes grown at our vineyard under sustainable farming practices. The Rose is a semi-dry blend of Viognier, Traminette, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.

A sweet gold wine named for the vineyard's sweet golden retriever. A Vidal Blanc-Traminette blend inspired by travels in Germany; it is sweetened to 3% residual sugar. Bluestone Vineyard uses only locally sourced and estate grown fruit. Silver Medal 2013 Virginia Governor's Cup.

A complex, dry white wine, with a buttery mid palate and apricot finish. This dry white offers the perfect balance of acidity and freshness. Bronze Medal-2013 Virginia Governor's Cup.

After fermenting 2/3 of the crop dry, the remaining third was frozen at subzero temperatures for half a year, and then used to sweeten the rest of the batch. Slightly fizzy, it might remind you of sparkling apple cider, peaches, and honey. Bronze Medal-2013 Virginia Governor's Cup.

Melons and lemon peel on the nose, followed by bright, polished acidity carrying flavors of the same, as well as honeysuckle and grapefruit.

Extended aging on lees in stainless steel captures a generous concentration of subtropical aromas and flavors of inherent volume and aging potential, presenting a firm, ample and harmonious structure. Juicy and bright pear, passion fruit, and hints of citrus on a gently herbal frame.

Rich pineapple and vanilla aromas precede delicious granny smith apple, honey, and pear notes across the palate. Balanced with a little creaminess and a bite. Hints of oak in the finish add weight, grace and elegance.

With special care and attention to details, this wine shows that Virginia can make an elegant Chardonnay with a lot of character. Made with 50% new oak and a native fermentation that lasted six weeks, the result is a Chardonnay with unique character and a complexity of aromas that are held together with the richness of French oak. The "sur lies" aging gives the wine weight and complexity that integrates well with the acidity and fruit structure.

It features vibrant notes of green apple, pear, Meyer lemon and fine minerals laced with aromatic honeysuckle and orange blossom. Pineapple, guava and ripe nectarine flavors that linger with notes of honey and spice. The plush finish is creamy and rich.

Youth in a glass is what this is, spry and light on its feet and smelling of spring with lime blossom, white lilacs and just a hint of lychee. The palate shows a medium-dry style that opens with floral notes and a taste of Turkish delight and finishes with a minerality reminiscent of wet river stones.

A medium bodied Riesling with a fragrant and flowery bouquet leads into an elegant and fine palate. Bright and lively lime and pink grapefruit with a strong undercurrent of chalky minerality, and peach and green apple flavors neatly tied together with crisp acidity.

Medium-bodied, fruity with a dry finish. Straw color with green highlights a nose of ripe tropical fruit, lime zest and stone fruit. The palate is concentrated with flavors of nectarines, apricot and citrus fruit. Juicy, spicy and herbal; the long full finish is balanced with vibrant acidity.

The aromatics are distinctly tropical, the initial sweet passion fruit then gives way to hints of lime, classic gooseberry, and dried herbs. But it is the palate where this wine embodies all that is Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Smooth and fruit driven, with a burst of energy from the firm lively acidity with a lingering mouth-watering finish.

This is classic Pouilly-Fumé with aromas of lemon, sandalwood, hay, white flowers, nectarine and a hint of ginger. Quite dry, but still smooth as glass with concentrated aroma replays on the palate. Lots of acidity here too for refreshment.

Lightly oaked in style, complex and full bodied, supple in texture, and intensely flavored. Firm acidity and a long finish, tasting of spicy oak, lemon peel, vanilla, grapefruit, and lemon grass.

Organically grown grapes sourced exclusively from our north-facing hillside estate. Naturally vinified, The Supernatural is unique with flavors of passion fruit and guava, spice and honeysuckle, lime and a luscious long palate.

This is everything one hopes for when thinking about Sancerre: it is bright, lively, pleasantly aromatic, has zippy acidity but low astringency. Pale yellow. Fresh pear and orange on the nose. Pliant, refreshingly bitter citrus fruit flavors are firmed by tangy minerality and pick up a light herbal quality with air. Appealingly sweet on the finish, which repeats the orange and herb notes. It is a wonderful food wine that is as versatile as it is easy to drink.

A full bodied, delicately fragrant wine with floral notes, hints of pear, apple, and vanilla with clove and ginger spice. Guinness McFadden has been growing grapes organically for over 40 years. Blue Quail's wines are stainless steel fermented and held with zero malolactic fermentation.

Farming of the 13-acre estate vineyard on the eastern side of the Eola-Amity Hills ridge, an area already proven to have one of Oregon's best micro-climates for Burgundian and Alsatian varieties is entirely organic. This blend of 85% Pinot Gris and 14% Gewürztraminer has added hints of Kerner, Rieslaner, Pinot Blanc, and Traminer. Floral aromas and notes of wet stone contribute to this light citrus and mineral driven white with refreshing acidity.

If you've yet to try Pinot Gris from Oregon, this is a great place to start. Elk Cove is one of Oregon's oldest and most respected wineries. Sweet and unctuous aromatics and crispness on the palate from vibrant citrus and grapefruit. True to Elk Cove Vineyards' style, a rich mouthfeel leads to a full and satisfying balanced finish.

This luminous Pinot Grigio offers a beautifully perfumed bouquet as well as structure and staying power. An open, floral bouquet leads to ripe, round fruit as this gorgeous white caresses the palate all the way through to the harmonious, polished finish. A small percentage of the wine is aged in oak and this adds density and complexity.

Delicate yet flavorful, light golden in color with a complex, fruit-scented nose that reveals layers of mango, jasmine tea, cinnamon, and cantaloupe. Smooth, smoky toasted walnut and honey balance the fruits, and give way to a crisp, lingering finish full of freshly cut grass and peaches.

This Chardonnay exhibits ripe fruit aromas of banana, apple and pear, coupled with tropical fruits. Adding to the complexity, the oak aging is fairly integrated adding spice, like nutmeg, vanilla and fresh coconut with a slight butterscotch. This wine has great viscosity, depth and an intriguing minerality. The flavors on the palate are predominantly citrus, lemon-lime and peach.

Not to be confused with Pouilly-Fumé from the Loire Valley (made from Sauvignon Blanc), Pouilly- Fuissé is firmly Burgundian and made from 100% Chardonnay. This great example exhibits bright lemon acidity. On the palate a rounded creamy mouthfeel is detected, with integrated oak and wonderful balance. Pear and apple characters marry happily with a freshening citrus streak on the elegant finish.

With vibrant cool citrus aromas as well as notes of pear and green pineapple, this is a fresh and inviting expression of Chardonnay. On the palate, pear, citrus oil and lemon custard flavors are supported by sophisticated hints of white almond, clove, jasmine and wet stone. Gorgeous acidity adds to the fresh, elegant and age-worthy character of this Chardonnay.

This wine is very mineral in the nose, with a hint of candied pear and lemon peel. Although lean, the entry is defined by a suggestion of tropical fruits, including pineapple and kiwi. There is a delicate zing to the midpalate that is reminiscent of pineapple rind. The finish persists with the sweetness of warm climate fruit, green apple and pear notes.

This polished, refined Chardonnay does an excellent job of capturing a wide spectrum of varietal flavors in a style that combines elements of brightness and richness. Fruit forward and balanced, delivering scents of pear, apple, butterscotch and pineapple, laced with delicate floral notes of honeysuckle. The attack is layered with succulent stone fruit flavors and buttery, toasted pastry dough. The lively acidity, combined with a rich creaminess and almond toffee flavors, give this wine a long, pleasing finish.

This is a chardonnay of balanced depth and complexity with a crisp acidity. Medium bodied with aromas of white peach and lime citrus. Stone minerals and luscious melon equally contend for attention in this mouth filling and delicious wine, while the lean acidity refreshes the palate.

In broad strokes, there is beautiful freshness to this wine, with clearly delineated vineyard character. At the same time, the modest crop size in 2010 has contributed to amazing concentration, spotlighting notes of spiced tropical peach, pear, honeydew, clove and narcissus. The mid-palate is vibrant and bright, combining delicate, mouthwatering acidity with rich fruit, all surrounded by subtle, oak-inspired notes of cinnamon, spiced toffee and roasted almonds.

The Matrot family has owned vineyards in Meursault for three generations. Thierry Matrot has used every possible organic technique in the cultivation of his vines. As a result, the domain's wines have a purity, character and a genuine sense of terroir. A buttered toast nose, with a little bit of oak and some hazelnut-flavored fruit. Quite explosive for a village wine, quite floral with a good balance of racy acidity and meaty fruit, with a rum butter finish.

The 2007 Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes is fashioned from 30-year old Chardonnay vines planted along the Silverado Trail. Its attractive nectarine, orange marmalade, and white peach-scented bouquet is followed by a full-bodied white exhibiting crisp acidity, good underlying minerality, and a subtle touch of oak.

Unoaked, young and fruity, a blend of three grapes working in harmony to produce an exceptional overall effect. The Sauvignon Blanc gives freshness and citrus character; Semillon brings body and richness; and Muscadelle contributes floral notes and aromatic lift.

A sparkling Rosé made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir has an attractive pink blush" color and luscious palate with a lasting, refreshing mousse. Delightful floral aromas and juicy red berry, cherry and pink grapefruit flavors with a balanced acidity and a creamy, decadent finish.

Delicate red berries and fresh herbs on the nose; crisp, prickly and fresh on the palate, subtle fruit shaped by good acidity. Pale rosy pink in color with a distant hint of fresh-fruit sweetness, but with the tart acidity and a pleasant dry finish. This elegant bubbly will be a real treat for alfresco sipping before or after dinner or paired with dinner salads and veggie dishes.

Aromas of lychees and roses, with a full-bodied, creamy texture. Good, fresh-fruit acidity and a distinct spiciness on the palate.

The Chateau Gaillard vineyard is cultivated according to biodynamic agriculture's methods in order to protect the ancestral wine quality of this vineyard. The grapes are carefully hand-picked in small baskets, a blend of Chenin (60%) and Chardonnay (40%) for a better balance and richness. Slightly blush in color with notes of honey and crab apple. Round and fruity on the palate with small and persistent bubbles, it has a long aftertaste.

Since 1984, Cameron Winery has fanatically produced sustainably farmed, non-irrigated pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot bianco from the Red Hills of Dundee, Oregon. The 2011 has a racy acidity of fresh lime, citrus peel, and a clean, pure finish. This year's Giovanni, normally 100% Pinot blanc, has been blended with 20% Pinot Grigio. The addition of a little pinot grigio gives the pinot blanc more weight to the wine, but fear not, it is still very refreshing.

Lemon yellow color with a beautiful brilliance. Aromatic and mineral nose of peach, citrus and a hint of mint. The body is finely balanced, fresh and fruity. Small, organic production.

Estate grown, certified sustainable. Primary aromas of deep mineral, wet stone, citrus and white peach. The palate is a dense concentration of peach, golden delicious apples, and flint, framed by firm acidity.

A crisp and viscous wine, balanced fruit and oak with pear and fresh fig aromas. Its rich, full finish is the result of sur lies aging for seven months in small, French oak barrels. A perfect companion to scallops, chicken-all food light and delicious.

De Tradisie is an elegant, barrel-fermented 100% Chenin Blanc, made in a dry, refreshing style. Complex nose of pineapple, rose petals and orange blossoms. The tropical, citrus flavors follow through on the palate, with oranges leading grapefruit, quince and cinnamon onto a rich but refreshing palate. It is a well-balanced wine with great integration of oak and a lovely long and crisp finish.

Robusto is a bold, barrel-fermented Chenin Blanc, made in a richer, full-bodied style. From the first release in 2000 the Robusto has set the pace for serious Chenin Blanc in South Africa. Quince and grapefruit bouquet, with fresh fruit salad and pineapple on the nose and it follows through on the palate. Good crisp acidity balances the sweet fruit flavors. A taut yet big wine with structure, texture and length will reward aging.

The Bretons first introduced biodynamic practices into their viticulture in 1994, just after receiving their organic certification in 1991. 100% Chenin Blanc from a plot of 50-year old vines, vinified in stainless steel tanks. A distinctively gorgeous wine. Pear, persian melon and pineapple dominate the nose and a silk textured, luscious palate with subtle chalk inflections in its lingering finish.

Founded in 1981, Roederer Estate is nestled in Mendocino County's cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley. As the California outpost of Champagne Louis Roederer, Roederer Estate builds upon a centuries-old tradition of fine winemaking. Complex minerality runs through this sparkler, tinged with sweet vanilla and strawberry flavors, but not overtly fruity. With light richness and firm acidity.

This Brut Rose is made via Méthode Champenoise with estate grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The grapes were picked at night by hand and gently pressed to ensure that this wine retains all of its best qualities. After a combination of stainless steel and French oak barrel aging, the wine gains complexity by aging on the yeast lees in the bottle for 22 months. A beautiful salmon hue, the nose of this Brut is of rose petals, blackberry, and light toast. The crisp acidity and minerality are balanced well with the notes of red fruits that are brought by the Pinot Noir in the blend.

Medium-bodied, dry. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this NV Brut has a lovely straw-yellow appearance and a lively fine mousse in the glass. Slightly floral on the nose with a full flavored, floral and fruity palate. This finish is fresh, aromatic and structured.

A rich Champagne, beautifully elegant, touched by yellow fruits, apples and just the right amount of weight. There are final hints of toast, spice and creamy coconut milk, giving a Champagne that is as much about wine as about bubbles.

This is what you expect a prestige Champagne to look, smell and taste like. Poised and stylish, it layers sharp citrus fruit with spicy wood and light toast. Layers of citrus, tangerine and flower blossoms unfold elegantly; lime and grapefruit accents add interest, and above all it comports itself with impeccable balance, precision and grace.

A later than average harvest resulted in beautiful concentration of aromatics and supple tannins. An elegant red, complex and inviting, showing currant, mint and herbal tones. Twelve months of oak aging produced a well balanced structure.

This classic blend of 43% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 27% Petit Verdot has great red fruit extraction and smooth connected tannins. Fifteen months in new and used oak give the wine a smooth, velvety finish with notes of vanilla and spice.

One of the most popular red wines of Northern Italy, Barboursville Barbera delivers black plum fruit, dark cherries and a touch of mint on the finish. Medium bodied with well integrated tannins and lively acidity.

Combining a light, delicate palate weight with intense flavors of bright raspberry and cherry fruit, the Jefferson Vineyards Cabernet Franc is tempered by soft white pepper, cinnamon, and baking spices. Polished acids and elegant, satiny tannins round out the finish. Virginia Governor's Cup 2012 Gold Medal Winner.

This light red has a bright acidity and a subtle flavor profile that evokes wild berries, mushrooms, and the terrior. The tannic structure is soft and approachable.

Ripe aromas of black plums and black cherry preserves. A blend of 46% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot, and 8% Cabernet Franc. Warm and weighty on the palate, smoke and rosemary with gripping tannins. Aged in older French, American, and Hungarian oak for 14 months.

Cave Ridge Vineyard produces wines only from grapes grown at our vineyard under sustainable farming practices. One of a handful of Syrahs grown and produced in Virginia. It tastes of cherries with a subtle black pepper flavor.

Made in a traditional old world style, this is a heavily extracted wine designed to highlight the aging potential of Cabernet Franc. Rich dark fruit aromas and a hint of spice. The tannin extraction is evident, but does not overwhelm the wine. The concentration of fruit, balanced by oak provides for a lengthy finish.

Bluestone Vineyard is committed to crafting small-batch wines from locally sourced and estate grown fruit that showcase the very best in each varietal and each vintage. A medium-bodied wine with softer tannins than its Bordeaux style relative. Virginia Governor's Cup 2013 Bronze Medal Winner.

This 100% Merlot from Washington State can easily be mistaken as a fine French Bordeaux if you are looking at the bottle and label. Independent Producers focuses on the terroir for this food-friendly single-vineyard Merlot. Surprisingly multidimensional, it has lovely notes of raspberry, blackberry tart, and earth.

This Right Bank styled blend (77.1% Merlot) pays homage to the strength of Atalon's matriarch. Dark ruby in color and aromatic notes of dark cherry, plum, currant, integrated oak, spice, toast, tobacco and underlined by a fine trace of minerality, a nod to the majestic geology of Napa Valley and to Pauline's enduring spirit.

This Merlot demonstrates a unique and intense varietal personality with pronounced aromatics, pure and fruity. Plush ripeness, fresh red currant flavors, blueberries, black cherries, with a hint of mint. Elegant and gentle tannins, aged in French oak.

Dense and chewy, featuring a sweetness and suppleness that make the earthy cherry and blackberry flavors weave through the tannins, emerging on the long finish with finesse.

Minor is a dynamic, family-owned winery tucked along the eastern hills of the Oakville appellation in the heart of Napa Valley. Challenged by the rocky volcanic soils of this mountainous vineyard site, the vines at Stagecoach produce fruit of extraordinary quality and intensity. Loaded with rich ripe fruit and spice notes, touches of toasty oak and grip from the fine tannins on the lengthy finish.

A densely weighted blend of 65% Cabernet and 35% Shiraz, with blackcurrant fruit and dark berries, spices and licorice complementing fresh floral aromatics of herbs and mints. The Shiraz is nicely layered within a tightly integrated and beautifully structured Cabernet Sauvignon palate.

This vintage is full-bodied and balanced with a savory nose of blackberries, cassis, spice and a hint of peppermint. Flavors of black cherry, mocha, brown spice and caramel unfold gracefully with smooth, silky tannins and a long elegant finish.

Intense, spice-accented aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and cured tobacco. Juicy, penetrating red and dark berry flavors are complemented by notes of vanilla bean and spicy licorice. Elegant with a good volume, round ripe tannins and a long, clean finish. Vina Ventisquero practices sustainable farming and is the first Chilean winery to voluntarily adopt measures to offset CO2 emissions.

Grapes for the HRW series wines come from our 117-acre Napa Valley vineyard. Spicy, cherry aromas with cedar and cigar notes. Medium-bodied with straight forward berry and cherry on the palate. Significant structure means this wine can stand up to short ribs and steaks with ease.

Aromas of fresh red-fruits and blackcurrant dominating the nose. Harmonious flavors of cassis, blackberry, cigar box, dark chocolate and vanilla spice. Length, and finesse on the palate, a balanced wine with firm structure and silky tannins.

A balanced wine with depth and approachability to accompany a wide variety of fare. Aromas of cherry cola and grilled dark fruit complemented by savory yet subtle sage, cloves, and dried lavender. The bouquet prepares the palate for a complex marriage of black and red fruits with great depth and freshness. Hints of cinnamon, chocolate, rhubarb and tobacco wrapped nicely with lush tannins, warm herbs and spices, and plush velvety tannins, all perched atop mouth-watering acidity.

An outstanding example of Napa Bordeaux varietals (82% Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec), it displays loads of white chocolate, cassis, licorice, and a touch of subtle smoke in a medium to full-bodied style. Silky tannins and plenty of concentration characterize this wine, which has no hard edges.

This complex Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the diversity of terroir in the Walla Walla Valley. These prestigious vineyards are certified Salmon Safe. With an elegant, old world structure, this sophisticated Cabernet shows aromas of dark fruit, earth, and fresh herbs. A seamless core of blackberry, plum, and dark cherry mingle with notes of tobacco and leather on a dusty tannin, richly structured finish.

Dark ruby-garnet color, complimentary to the rich dark aromas of black cherry, Santa Rosa plum. Intertwined with the spicy sweetness of oak, cedar, cinnamon, clove and toast. The entry is soft, with dark cherry and berry flavors that develop from start to finish. With great texture and mouth feel, full bodied, rich and opulent.

This is a big, voluptuous wine with intense aromas of black currant, black berry, olive, clove and cardamom. The palate shows lovely depth and concentration, with chewy tannins, enlivening acidity, rich layers of black cherry, chocolate and spice.

Sourced from a combination of their estate Rutherford district vineyards and top Napa growers, the bouquet offers a nose of ripe cherry and blackberry aromas with earthy cedar and baking spice accents. The palate unfolds to reveal richer, darker flavors of plum, toasted hazelnut, and graphite. It is full in the mouth, with polished tannins and flavors of toasty oak on the finish.

According to Robert Parker, Luc Sorin is one of southern France's hottest winemakers. Fort Lignac is from the Medoc, Bordeaux's premier sub-region that sits on the left bank. The predominance of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon (25% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot) is a striking feature of it's bouquet and flavor. Coffee and cassis are on display in it's aroma and on the palate. There is excellent fruit concentration, including black currant and cherry notes, with modest tannins in the finish.

The domaine has been in the Liger-Belair family for 250 years and their vines are up to 70 years in age. The whole of the domaine is cultivated in biological agriculture, both the treatment of the vines and the soil maintenance. Jammy and rustic on the nose. Wright is known for his single-vineyard Pinot Noirs. The vintage of 2011 was a cool one in Oregon, yielding wines with a distinctly Burgundian cast. With moderate tannins, high acidity and lower alcohol, take inspiration from the wine's fruit, floral and spice notes. An earthy nose of red plum and rose mingles with hints of wild mushroom and game. Gentle cherry and cranberry fruit underlie flavors of smoke, pine and earth.

Tolentino is the name of a little town in Italy where President Javier Catena's great grandfather was born at the end of the 1800's. Tolentino wines are sourced from high altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley. Chocolate and black fruit flavors with silky tannins, a natural balance, nice concentration and a distinctively smooth, long finish.

Classic to form, this wine is a juicy, mouth-filling wine with deep, dark flavors of plum, cassis, and blackberry jam. There is good minerality, spice, and pepper as the wine finishes. The grapes are sourced from the high-altitude Vista Flores region of Mendoza, where the ground holds deposits of calcareous soils, clay, and importantly, limestone. The Andes Mountains stand guard on the western edge of the region, trapping the rain clouds that provide vital precipitation to the grapes growing below.

Inviting scents of cedar, Asian spices, lavender, and black cherry on the nose. A plush, dense, layered, pleasure-bent Malbec, aged in French oak for 12 months. Voluptuous, ripe fruits, plum and cassis with soft notes of tobacco and black pepper.

The aromas are dark, even a bit brooding, at first with building aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and mocha. Then ripe, bright, and juicy on the palate with gorgeous blackberry, black plum, and currant accented by notes of spice, mineral, and berry blossom. Bodega Colomé vineyards are bio-dynamically and sustainably farmed and represent the unique character of cooler climate Argentine Malbec. Smooth and plump with intense, ripe fruit: black plum, spice and cherry fruit. Not overtly oaky, an elegant and rich wine with a succulent and muscular structure of round velvety tannins.

Taking advantage of some strong old timer grower relations, we have been able to source some wonderful old vine Zinfandel from several Napa Valley vineyards. Classic characteristics of fresh cracked pepper, raspberries, black cherries and briery fruit. Full-bodied with plush textures and good acidity as well as a nice mouthfeel.

The Seghesio family first planted Zinfandel back in 1895! Seghesio's Zin is busty, with plush and spicy blackberry and raspberry fruit, but it's got some extra acidity because of the cool 2011 vintage. It is precise in its focus on ripe berries and briary spice, and it is particularly wellbalanced with fine energy and a long, firm finish.

This vintage is consistent with our mission to make rich Zinfandel in a balanced and elegant "claret style" that enhances a wide variety of food without being overbearing. The flavor profile is one of raspberries, bright plum and dark spice.

Orin Swift Cellars owner/winemaker Dave Phinney has gained access to some of the best Zinfandel vineyards in the Northern California growing community. Deciding he wanted to make a high quality Zinfandel, what he created did not fit the constraints of a single AVA. Dark ruby in color with aromas of raspberry and blackberry, toast and sweet vanilla. On the palate there is strawberry, rhubarb, and sassafras. The entry is mouth coating and leads into a mid palate with structure and good acidity. The finish is bright and long with soft tannins and subtle oak sweetness.

Mostly Zinfandel, complimented with 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Syrah, 7% Petite Sirah, 3% Charbono, 1% Grenache and 1% Malbec. This dark purple colored blend opens with a mild blackberry, earthy, and smoky oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry and plum blended with notes of black pepper and hint of cherry vanilla. The finish is dry with gentle, dusty tannins.

Kilikanoon has selected premium parcels of Shiraz to craft an unassuming wine of upfront character and appeal. The nose displays rich dark fruits, spicy plums, and licorice. The palate packs a punch with ripe, spicy plums, dark cherries and quality oak to provide a richly rewarding and lingering finish.

A black-as-night Syrah true to it's roots, with flavors of dark red fruit, bacon and toast, with a wall of vanilla and oak. It's juicy, jammy and surprisingly well integrated; deep and intense flavors last throughout the glass.

Shows a deep brooding purple color, beginning with aromas of black raspberry, black cherry and briary blackberry fruit touched off with hints of white pepper, mocha, mineral, smoke and savory spices. The flavors match the aromas and are dense and concentrated with medium to full bodied richness. The wine is soft and supple textured and the finish is long with finegrained, powdery tannins.

A wine that recalls Cote-Rotie and Chateauneuf du Pape, bright in fruit and brooding in its earthen intensity. The nose offers a concentrated bouquet of wild game, strawberry jam, brambly berries, croissant, crushed violet and sweet cigar wrapper. It is a beautifully layered effort, and on the palate shows olive tapenade, herbs du provence, boysenberry, venison stew and spicy tobacco leaf. A full-bodied wine throughout, it finishes with sweet beet, soft tannin and pink peppercorn spicing.

Big, ripe fruit welcomes you as only low yields of Garnacha can express. Less than two tons per acre are harvested from the warm slopes of Moncayo and the results are rich and forthcoming; the palate is awash in the spiced plums on the nose and bring on blackberries, mulling spices, a sweet leathery top note and vivacious acidity.

A blend of 40% Carinena, 40% Syrah, and 20% Garnacha aged for 12 months in French oak. Wood smoke, spice box, incense, lavender, black cherry and plum aromas are followed by a mouth-filling, round, dense wine with outstanding grip and length. It over-delivers in a big way.

Wonderfully aromatic, mixing dark fruit with sweet spice, black pepper, and smoky oak. The fruit for this wine comes from old vines grown in chalky limestone. On the palate, 100% Monastrell delivers pure fruit flavor. The tannins are rounded out smoothly by just enough oaky, spicy richness that still allows the beautiful dark fruit to take center stage.

A blend of 50% Monastrell, 25% Tempranillo and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon harvested by hand. Roasted plum and raspberry aromas offer accents of vanilla, dill and dry wood. The palate is big, a little soft and chubby in the middle, with savory, herbal black fruit flavors that are meaty and deep. Finishes earthy and herbal.

Castillo Perelada owns 5 Vineyards in the north-eastern corner of Spain, each of them with their own geological conditions. The 5 Fincas, or farms, is a blended red of Merlot, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo and Cabernet Franc. Intense and enveloping aroma of ripe fruit, with spicy and roasted notes. It reaches great volume in the mouth. It is fleshy, well-structured with fresh acidity and silky tannins.

This unfiltered Spanish Tempranillo opens with a mild oak and mild blackberry with a hint of black licorice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty black plum and black licorice blend with hints of minerality, old oak, and spice. The finish is dry and it sticky tannins show very nice length.

This Reserva, made from Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo, exhibits cedar, cigar box, and bright red fruit flavors, with lively, sweet tannins on the finish. It is well-defined and speaks of its place. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy, well-defined entry. Crisp red fruit, sage and a touch of orange rind vie for attention, while the oak is succinctly well-integrated.

Deep ruby in color with an explosively perfumed nose of black raspberry, cured tobacco, fresh rose and sexy oak spices. Lush but lively, with vivid red and dark berry, supple texture and a late hit of cola. Gains sweetness and energy on the finish.

Bibbiani's "wine of the people" (85% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 5% Malvasia). Poggio Vignoso is a simple, delightful food wine that can be enjoyed with virtually anything. Surprisingly firm, admirably balanced, with dried cherries and floral notes.

Rich, ripe aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and dried cranberry emerge from the glass, accompanied by floral tones and a hint of smoke. The grapes are partially dried before fermentation. It shows an intense bouquet of red berries with hints of spices and an extremely soft and round finish, with velvety tannins. This Passimento will be delicious when paired with deeply flavored fatty proteins like duck, beef and pork.

Barbera is the wine that best represents the tough, headstrong and discrete character of the Piedmont winegrower. An intense fruity bouquet of prune and mulberry with a hint of spice. Dry, fresh and fragrant, this wine lingers on the palate with traces of plum, blackberry and cherry. Fitting throughout the meal, pair with grilled meat.

The Non Confunditur is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 20% Syrah and 20% Sangiovese. Open, expressive fruit, spices, licorice and herbs. Relatively fleshy with excellent depth, structure and hint of oak with a fruity leathery finish.

Langhe Nebbiolo is a lovely expression of Nebbiolo with lively and earthy berry fruit floating atop fine tannins and great acidity. The wine has savory floral aromas and in the mouth shows tar and red cherries with moderate tannin, a medium-weight body, and sufficient acidity to hold the wine in balance This Cantina's wines holds up to the producer's excellent reputation.

Chateau Musar has been producing wine in Lebanon since the 1930s, and planted its vineyards in one of the world's oldest wine-producing regions. An engaging blend of Cinsault, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Delicate, earthy undertones accent flavors of raspberry, pomegranate, cherry, cranberries and spicy aromatics.

The 2008 Spring Valley Vineyard Uriah combines the power of Walla Walla Merlot with the elegance of Old World Right Bank Bordeaux blends. The nose is extremely refined and complex with scents of bright currant, clove, licorice, wheat, cigar box, almond paste, and orange extract. The palate is rich with bright acid and ripe cherry flavors, and polished tannins linger on a very long finish rich with notes of roasted coffee.

Lighter and brighter in color and flavor than longer-aged wines. A pre-dinner sipper as well as an excellent introduction to Madeira. According to the importer, this is the first Colheita to be introduced in America. Smooth in the mouth with a great balance of citrus acidity to keep the sweet fruit in check. The mélange of walnut, orange zest and raisins provide for a bit of complexity.

A pale tawny in color, this complex sweet wine features notes of vibrant almond, honey, fig and citrus. Fine spirit characters balance the sweetness producing an elegant drying finish. It's silky in texture, intense, ripe, and very sweet, it will finish off your meal in style.

A fine sipping port, caramel in color with a nose of raisins. Smooth butterscotch palate has richness of mouthfeel and generous nutty oak character. Notes of dates, figs, brown spice and walnuts with a nice, medium length and round finish.

Estate-bottled, a rarity in fortified wines exported from the Duoro. Joao and Catherine Rosiera run this family's estate in the heart of Gontelho, a region known for the quality of its wine. The fruit of their steep, terraced vineyards is still foot-trodden, a sign of just how serious the commitment to traditional methods is at Quinta do Infantado. Elegant and rich, this dark, juicy port has an excellent balance of fruit, acid, sugar, and tannin. Not too sweet and not too big, an excellent introduction to the world of port.

A blend of 95% Semillon and 5% Sauvignon this Sauternes shows a lovely pale golden color with deep golden highlights, and it offers aromas of candied fruits backed up by a hint of exotic mango and guava. On the palate, it is ample and fleshy, leading into a silky and long finish.

Rudera Noble Late Harvest Chenin Blanc is exclusively produced in exceptional years when conditions are conducive to enable natural botrytis to accrue on premier parcels of grapes. Rich mouth-feel and layers of tropical flavors, apricot, and some marmalade. The delicate yet firm smoky, oaky flavor expanding in the mouth. Fairly sweet and full; lovely texture and good length and balance.

This brilliant wine celebrates the history and culture of CrossKeys. Named for the proprietors' father, Ali, this late harvest Traminette combines the rich complexity of fruit with spice, honey and perfectly balanced acidity.
